Lust for Life unfolds from this transitional state. It speaks of the body as a temporal experience: of how form emerges and dissolves at the threshold of modesty, exposure and force. The works of Attila Kertész, Gábor Szenteleki and Szilard Gaspar approach this instability from three distinct directions.
The title “You are here” recalls the familiar marker found on maps: the point where viewers locate themselves within a system - and where it becomes evident that the observer is also part of that system.
The exhibition title - What We Preserve, What We Pass On - refers to this duality: the tension at the foundation of every creative process, the simultaneity of holding on and letting go, of remembering and beginning again.
His artistic development has progressed with consistency from mastering graphic media and experimenting with diverse techniques to formulating a painterly language in which his graphic sensibilities continue to play a defining role.
