You’re warmly invited to the next event at Apollo Gallery: a roundtable discussion moderated by Anna Juhász, featuring Zoltán Tombor and Péter Weiler!
What has Hungary given us? Can someone become a truly great artist in their homeland?
Everyday life in New York, the experience of emigration, artistic careers within and beyond borders, and the central question: can someone become a truly great artist both in Hungary and in their adopted home?
These are the topics that photographer Zoltán Tombor and visual artist Péter Weiler will explore in conversation, moderated by literary scholar and cultural manager Anna Juhász, next Friday at Apollo.
The event is part of the exhibition “What Have the Hungarians Ever Done for Us?”, in which Weiler pays tribute to world-famous heroes of Hungarian origin who have often remained faithful to their roots even from afar.
Theme: Life in New York – World-famous Hungarians – Art at home and around the world
Participants: Anna Juhász, Zoltán Tombor, Péter Weiler
Date: Friday, June 6, 2025, 6:00 PM
