The central motif of the exhibition 4 Italian Contemporary Artists is the dialogue
that unfolds between the works of Luca Missoni, Pietro Pirelli, Silvio Monti, and
Véronique Perrard-Monzini. The exhibition brings together four distinct creative worlds
that approach the same question from different angles: how does our perception of
the world – whether cosmic, physical, social, or symbolic – become art?
The exhibition space is conceived as a layered experience, where the works do not
stand apart but interpret one another. Missoni brings us closer to the timeless face of
the moon, to the slow yet constant changes of cosmic cycles. Monti, by contrast,
examines the fragmented reality of the present moment: he searches for the lost
balance of human existence among newspaper headlines, advertisements, and
fragments of memory. Pirelli translates the laws of physics into sensory experience: for
him, sound vibrates like light and light becomes music, creating transcendent
installations that envelop the body. Perrard-Monzini, in turn, imbues matter with spirit:
she builds bridges between Eastern and Western cultures using recycled materials,
calligraphic signs, and feminine symbols.
